AWARDS

Cheshire Tennis introduced its own Awards in 2008, to celebrate the achievements of the many coaches, volunteers and clubs involved in tennis, dedicating their precious time and energy to the continual development and growth of the sport in Cheshire.  The LTA Awards were launched in 2015, with the help of former LTA President Cathie Sabin OBE.  Every year the categories for nomination increase and now also include tournaments, officials, schools, communities, parks and those involved in demonstrating amazing diversity and inclusion.

CHESHIRE & LTA AWARDS

Cheshire has supported the LTA Awards process since its inception and the Cheshire winners of the LTA categories automatically progress to the Regional judging.  Several of our winners have become Regional and even National winners in their award category, which is a fantastic achievement.

Cheshire Awards highlight the talent across the tennis community in Cheshire, but we rely on you to nominate these individuals or groups who make a huge difference to tennis in Cheshire. Every club has “unsung heroes”, who often work tirelessly behind the scenes, but are more than worthy of recognition for their years of volunteering.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations usually open on October 1st and close on November 30th.  Our Annual Presentation of Awards Evening takes place sometime after this date and is held at the Chester Racecourse in the beautiful Pavilion Suite, for which Cheshire is extremely grateful. We look forward to reading your nominations!
